The Costa del Sol gets cold in winter. We design and install efficient heating systems — heat pumps, underfloor, solar thermal and smart controls — that keep you warm without punishing energy bills.
Heating is often an afterthought on the Costa del Sol — until January arrives and you realise your property has none, or what it has doesn't work properly. We've been designing and installing heating systems here since 2000.
We handle the whole project: heat source selection, emitter specification, controls and commissioning. Daikin Altherma heat pumps are our primary recommendation for most properties — highly efficient, reversible (cooling in summer), and eligible for energy subsidies.
All work is carried out by our own qualified engineers. No subcontractors, no surprises.
The heat source is the engine of your heating system. Get this right and everything else follows. We'll give you an honest recommendation based on your property and how you use it.
Heat pumps extract warmth from outside air and transfer it indoors — even when it's cold outside. For every unit of electricity they use, they produce 3–4 units of heat. That's an efficiency you simply can't get from a boiler or electric heater.
They're also reversible: the same unit provides cooling in summer. The Daikin Altherma is our go-to — reliable, quiet and well-supported.
Underfloor heating works at lower flow temperatures than radiators, making it the ideal partner for a heat pump. It heats the whole floor surface, so the warmth rises evenly — no cold corners, no hot spots near the radiator.
We can install underfloor heating into almost any floor build-up, including retrofits. Correct insulation beneath the pipes is critical and something we always specify.
Solar thermal uses roof-mounted collectors to heat water for domestic use and space heating. On the Costa del Sol it makes a strong contribution to domestic hot water year-round.
As a space heating source, it's most useful in low-temperature systems like underfloor heating. In winter, shorter days and lower sun angles limit its output — so we always pair it with a reliable backup heat source.
The emitter is what you see and feel. Choosing the wrong one for your heat source undermines the whole system's efficiency. We always specify them together.
The best match for a heat pump. Underfloor systems operate at 30–45°C flow temperature, which is where heat pumps run most efficiently. The large surface area means gentle, even warmth across the entire floor — no radiators to plan around and no cold spots.
We can lay underfloor circuits into almost any floor build-up. Insulation beneath the pipes is essential and non-negotiable — without it, you're heating the ground, not the room.
Where underfloor heating isn't practical — renovation budgets, tiled floors, structural constraints — modern high-efficiency radiators are the answer. They're not the heavy cast-iron units of old: today's low-temperature panel radiators work well with heat pumps when correctly sized.
We size and specify radiators for your actual heat loss, not a rule of thumb. Oversized radiators waste money; undersized ones leave you cold. The calculation matters and we do it properly.
Just as Airzone Flexa brings room-by-room control to air conditioning, Airzone Acuazone does the same for hydronic heating systems. Control individual zones from your phone, only heat the rooms you're using, and reduce energy consumption significantly. We'll be offering Acuazone installations shortly — get in touch to register your interest.
