Most air conditioning failures come down to a handful of causes. We carry the most common parts and tools on every visit.

Not cooling or not heating

Usually low refrigerant due to a leak, a failed compressor, or a faulty expansion valve. We pressure-test the full circuit, find and repair the leak, then recharge to the correct specification. We never just top up and leave.

Refrigerant leak

A slow leak means your unit gradually loses efficiency until it stops cooling altogether. Leaks are often at flare connections or corroded pipework. Our engineers hold F-Gas certification — all refrigerant handling is done to legal standards.

Water dripping indoors

The most common cause is a blocked condensate drain — the pan fills and overflows. We clear the blockage and treat the drain to prevent reoccurrence. Left untreated, water damage to ceilings and walls follows quickly.

PCB or controls fault

Error codes on the display often point to a control board issue — but the root cause needs identifying before parts are replaced. We diagnose at component level, so you're not paying for a PCB replacement that won't fix the underlying problem.

Fan motor failure

A failed indoor or outdoor fan motor means the unit can't move air effectively — efficiency drops and the compressor overloads. Fan motors are a direct replacement; most are repaired on the same visit.

Tripped breakers, blown capacitors, failed contactors and wiring faults within the AC unit. We diagnose and repair electrical faults at component level — systematically, not just resetting and hoping.
